Today I get to accompany my fellow co-worker Jenn Cole to her closing. This will be my first time ever going to a sales closing, and I have no idea what to expect. My plan is to show up, smile, and wave. Hopefully I dont get asked any questions or have to talk at all. I have been informed that Jenn is very experienced in the art; therefore, I am confident this will go swimmingly. For now I will just have to wait in anticipation and ponder what the future closing has to offer.
I have now returned from a very short, and smooth closing. Jenn sold her sisters house to a young couple with an adorable little girl. This couple had never purchased a home before, so I was not the only one experiencing something new. Jenn was amazing and very engaging; she always seemed to be smiling!
It seemed that no one at the closing was as serious as I had expected. As a matter of fact it seemed that everyone was more concerned with how good the mints were.
When Jenn and I first walked in, the first thing we noticed was the little baby girl. She was in a little red sun dress and had a big smile. She never once made and loud noises and just added light to the room.
The closing took no more than twenty minutes and consisted of reviewing the numbers and signing several papers (for everyone other than me, I just watched). After the closing ended I decided that I had earned myself lunch. So I treated myself to a celebratory lunch at Moes.
I am very thankful that Jenn let me tag along in her closing and it was another great time and learning experience for the one and only, Toby the Intern.
